Leave of Absence

I am sorry to report that at this time Kristen Dunne Photography will be on an indefinite leave of absence. My 6 year old daughter was just diagnosed with Severe Pulmonary Hypertension. I am currently in Pittsburgh, PA with her while she hopefully receives a miracle. If you would like to learn more about her you can visit her Caring Bridge page. I will be sure to post back when I will again be taking sessions.

Golden Anniversary {Newark, DE Vow Renewal Photographer}

I had the opportunity recently to take photos at a 50th anniversary celebration and vow renewal. 50 years is pretty amazing and is definitely worthy of celebrating! Family traveled in from out of town and everyone gathered at the church. The bride was beautiful and the groom was dashing! It was so neat to be able to hear them say their vows with their 6 children and 14 grandchildren present. It was also very neat to know that their best man from the original ceremony was able to attend and again say a toast at the reception. I have to admit, there were a few times where I'd wished I'd had some tissues on hand as watching the days events unfold led to a few tears. Tears of happiness and admiration! Congratulations John and Kathy on 50 years and wishing you both many more years of happiness.

He's Here! {Bear, DE Newborn Photographer}

Meet baby N, you might remember his parents from their maternity shoot a few weeks ago. Little man made a bit of a surprise entrance a wee bit early, but it's obvious from these pictures that Mom and Dad have tons of love which is mostly all he needs.... in addition to a gazillion little outfits and toys and bibs and diapers and much more. During the shoot we were chatting about how new Dads are often seen walking around the local baby superstore in a bit of daze wearing the clothes they slept in, looking for just the right thing that Mom sent them to get. Dad joked about how he gets it now as he feels pretty dazed lately but all I could see was a man so in love with his son. And Mom, tired as she was, was just glowing with happiness. As well, an extra special treat, Grandmom was up for a visit and I got to capture her as she held her new grandson for the very first time. The love and adoration was all over her face. I just love capturing new ones and their families. It really is the best! Congratulations to you all and thanks so much for allowing me to be there to capture some of your firsts as a family of three.

Little Flirt {Lincoln University, PA Baby Photographer}

Oh my goodness, this little 6 month old was SO cute and THE biggest flirt! I could seriously eat him up. He was so happy and really hammed it up for my camera. He is definitely one busy little guy as he is trying very hard to stand up and GO! I have a feeling he is going to be running any day now. Get ready Mom and Dad! ;-) Thank you so much for allowing me to capture your little man and enjoy your sneak peek!

Expecting {Wilmington, DE Maternity Photographer}

I never get tired of photographing expectant mothers. It takes me back to when I was pregnant with my own children. I just love the anticipation and excitement that is evident in the eyes of all soon-to-be parents. This couple was no exception. They were up for anything and totally trusted my suggestion of doing a few shots indoors and then to venture out to a local park. Little did I know that they were nature lovers and had a special affinity for horses. I guess it was my lucky day.....

11 years and soon to be a family of 3 {Wilmington, DE Maternity Photographer}

I met up with this fun couple over the weekend on their 11th anniversary. To add to the excitement, they are expecting their first child in about a month. We had a great time checking out a local garden and it was quite apparent that these two are as much in love now as they were on their wedding day. Mom-to-be is just glowing and Dad appears absolutely smitten with his "bride". They have already asked me to do newborn pictures once he or she makes their arrival, so be sure to check back soon for an update. Happy 11th Anniversary L&M and thanks so much for allowing me to photograph you!!

Finley ~ 11 Days {Wilmington, DE Newborn Photography}

Look at this handsome, teeny little guy. He is pure sweetness and was perfectly content to let me grab some shots. The fact that mom and dad are completely and totally in love with him was oh so apparent. I just love the look of awe on their faces when looking at their first born son. It was quite obvious that he is well loved and much anticipated. And check out little man's nursery. It was one of the coolest nurseries ever! Thank you so much for allowing me to capture your new little family and enjoy your sneak peek.....

My name is Kristen Dunne. I am a mom to three fantastic kids, Ryan, 6, and twins Molly and Kate, 4.

Now I am hoping to branch out and take pictures of others. I shoot mainly in natural light and would love to capture your family. Right now I am building my portfolio.
